Have you ever started walking and realize you’ve left yourself behind? There’s no point in looking back, but of course you do, hoping you might see something; like the backpack you set down on Boynton Canyon trail.

Instead, all you can feel is the ghost of something past, something that cannot continue living; as if you walked right out of the skin you were in – each step, a shedding of the dead.

Sedona, Arizona: where humans go to molt.

To shake loose the external hardening of our years reveals a softening that is ripe for new growth. To roam openly, asking for impressions upon the heart, is a fierce surrender to be nurtured. To travel the earth in this way is to step into the divine feminine, ready to receive.
